IHC issues written decision of shifting Bushra Bibi to Adiala jail

ISLAMABAD(National Times): Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued written decision of shifting Bushra Bibi wife of PTI founder from Banigala sub jail to Adiala jail.

Justice Hassan Aurangzeb has issued 15-page written order.

IHC has said in its written decision according to petitioner she wants to be kept in jail to avert isolation. The court’s decisions are there that solitary confinement is not only punishment but it is torture.

It has been further said in written decision the imprisonment of Bushra Bibi has been made more stern by keeping her in solitary confinement. The children of Bushra Bibi cannot come and go out of home easily due to declaration of home a sub jail.

The court said the family members have to seek permission from superintendent jail or court to enter into home. There is nothing like this on record that permission was got from the owner of the home before declaring home a sub jail.

The decision said virtual possession of private property was taken by declaring home a sub jail. The owner of the home was deprived of basic rights by declaring home sub jail without his permission.

It is pertinent to mention here that IHC had ordered to shift Bushra Bibi to Adiala jail while accepting her plea.
