Aitzaz Ahsan moves SC for early hearing of the case against trial of civilians in military courts

ISLAMABAD (National Times): Senior lawyer Aitzaz Ahsan has filed petition in Supreme Court (SC) seeking early hearing of the case against trial of civilians in military courts.

The petitioner has taken plea in the petition filed on Tuesday cases of those who are under the custody of military are not being decided being pending hearing in SC. Several persons are under the custody of military when no offence has been proved against them.

The petitioner has requested the court to fix this case for hearing in the week starting from May 14.

The petitioner has provided copy of SC December 13 , 2023 order along with the appeal.
