IHC orders to place Ch Pervaiz Elahi under house arrest

ISLAMABAD (National Times): Islamabad High Court (IHC) while announcing reserved judgment on the petition seeking court’s orders to shift former Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi to hospital or declare his house as sub jail has ordered to place him under house arrest for 15 days.

Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir of IHC announced reserved judgment on Monday in respect of petition of Qaisra Elahi wife of Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi Monday.

The court ordered interior ministry for completing the procedure of house arrest of Pervaiz Elahi within 15 days.

It may be mentioned that IHC had reserved judgment on May 2 regarding the petition filed against shifting Pervaiz Elahi from Adiala jail to Lahore.

The IHC had ordered medical board of PIMS hospital to review the health of Pervaiz Elahi again.
