UNSC must implement its resolutions on Gaza, as it fails to implement on Kashmir: Kashmiri Refugees

Muzaffarabad (National Times): “Palestine and Jammu Kashmir Solidarity Rally” was organized by the refugees of Jammu and Kashmir to express solidarity with the people of Gaza and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to details, people in the rally raised slogans against Israeli and Indian state terrorism and demanded the establishment of an independent Palestinian besides the right of self-determination for the Kashmiri people.

The rally was started from the Old Secretariat to Burhan Wani Shaheed Chowk holding banners and placards.

Speakers on the occasion expressed regret over the helpless people in Palestine and Gaza and said that Israel is killing people like insects inside Gaza.

They described the resolution of the United Nations Security Council as an important development in which an immediate ceasefire has been passed in Gaza and demanded its implementation before long.

They said that UNSC must show its authority over nations as the same organisation have passed resolutions on Kashmir 76 years ago while hundreds of thousands have sacrificed their lives for its implementation but the organization’s role remained not more than a silent spectator.

Speakers said that they have observed more than 33,000 martyrs in Gaza since October 2023 and declared them as great martyrs of Bait-ul-Maqdis.

They also rejected the Indian military occupation in Jammu and Kashmir and said that Indian atrocities in occupied Jammu and Kashmir were not hidden from anyone for the past 76 years.

However, India remained unable to succeed in enslaving the Kashmiri people through military force.

The Kashmiri leadership said that the people of the state have rejected that the cruel actions of the Indian Lok Sabha on August 5, 2019 and the biased, political and anti-Kashmir decision of the Indian Supreme Court on December 11, 2023 were written by the Bharatiya Janata Party and read by Indian judges.

They said that the 44 thousand refugees in Azad Kashmir condemn all kinds of aggression by Indian forces in illegally occupied Kashmir.

The speakers called on the United Nations Security Council to implement the resolutions on the right to self-determination passed by it for permanent solution of Jammu and Kashmir.

The rally was led by Muhammad Yousuf Butt, Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, Raja Muhammad Arif Khan, Muhammad Riaz Jarral, Muhammad Latif Lone, Irshad Ahmed Butt, Raja Muhammad Zakheer Khan, Chaudhary Muhammad Mushtaq, Ghulam Hassan Butt, Muhammad Atif Lone, Muhammad Iqbal Yaseen, Inzar Butt, Muhammad Iqbal Mir, Hamid Jamil Kashmiri, Manzoor Iqbal Butt, Muhammad Fayyaz Jagwal, Sarandaz Mir and others.
