5.2 magnitude quake jolts KP’s Swat and Charsadda areas

PESHAWAR (National Times) – A 5.2 magnitude earthquake jolted parts of the Khyber Paktunkhwa on Sunday.

The tremors were felt in Swat, Charsadda and Mingora. Accoridng to the = National Seismic Monitoring Centre Islamabad, the quake struck at 6:39am with 1779km depth in Hindu Kush mountainous region, Afghanistan. It had a longitude of 77.99 East and a latitude of 38.28 North.

People came out of their residential properties and started reciting Kalima. No loss of life and property has been reported so far.
