LAHORE (National Times) – Federal minister Ahsan Iqbal said on Saturday the country right now needed stability and the process of dialogue was pivotal in politics.

“In 2018, the people of Punjab gave mandate to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, however, our votes were stolen,” he told media men in Lahore. He said that in politics, the path of negotiation remained open and no politician could deny the importance of dialogue.

Highlighting the former premier s stance about elections, he said this was only the political rhetoric and it was not needed for economic or political purposes.

Earlier, he said terrorist attacks had started again and the country could not withstand anarchy and chaotic situation. Pakistan, he said, was facing debt trap and severe loadshedding, claiming that his government would defeat crisis by putting the country in the right direction.
