MQM to be back in Sindh Assembly standing committees after four years

KARACHI (National Times) – The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has decided to be part of the standing committees of the Sindh Assembly after deliberations with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

The MQM will join the standing committees after four years and is likely to get the chairmanship of four committees.

In the past, the MQM had been restrained from joining the standing committees of Sindh Assembly due to the party’s affiliation with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

There is no representation of opposition parties even in the Public Accounts Committees of Sindh Assembly.
