Imran deliberately weakened parliament, made institutions controversial: Fazl

PESHAWAR (National Times) – Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) president and Jamiat Ulema-e- islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Wednesday said that Imran Khan has deliberately weakened the parliament and made all institutions controversial, Dunya News reported.

In a statement issued by media cell of JUI-F, Maulana Fazlur Rehman was quoted as saying that the PTI had trampled our social values and political traditions and also destroyed national unity by pitting people against each other through promoting hate and vengeance.

He said that a meeting of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) would be convened very soon which would update the policy matters. The JUI chief said that political stability is vital to achieve economic progress and national security.

The JUI-F chief said that the credibility of state institutions would be restored and PDM would devise a strategy to overcome economic crisis of the country that is struggling to fight devastations created by recent flood.
