German scholar delivers special lectures at UO

Islamabad (National Times)- Dr Hasnain Bokhari, Research Fellow at the University of Erfurt Germany, visited that University of Okara and delivered a series of special lectures the MPhil and PhD students and the faculty on public policy, academic writing and research opportunities in various German universities.
The events were organized by the Directorate of External Linkages under the supervision on Dr Azhar Ali Haidry, Associate Professor of Physics, and Dr Syed Abdul Waheed, Assistant Professor of Education.
Addressing to the opening ceremony of the events, Dr Haidry, Director of External Linkages, thanked the Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Muhammad Zakria Zakar, for providing them with opportunities to engage international academia and highlighted the vision of the External Linkages office.
“This series of lectures is meant for creating integration with the German education system and capacitating our faculty and students to explore scholarship opportunities in Germany and Europe,” said Dr Haidry.
Dr Waheed, who have been coordinating external linkages since 2018, told that it was need of the hour in the post-COVID world to build strong research and academic collaborations among the global intellectual and scholarly community.
A large number of the faculty members and research students participated in the lectures and workshops, conducted by Dr Bokhari.
