Promotion of tourism in AJK among govt’s top priorities: PM Imran

ISLAMABAD (National Times) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday said that as Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) had a lot of tourism potential, the promotion of tourism and other allied sectors was among the government’s foremost priorities.

The development of tourism sector in the valley besides improving infrastructure and economy will also help create ample employment opportunities, he added.

The prime minister was talking to AJK Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi, who called on him here and briefed him about the progress of AJK government’s ongoing public-welfare and tourism sector development projects.

He while welcoming the restoration of Accountability Act in Azad Kashmir as a good omen said that the rule of law and transparency in system were inevitable for the country’s progress.
