Funeral of 9 victims of Murree tragedy offered

LAHORE (National Times) – Funeral prayers of nine victims Murree tragedy has been offered.

The funeral prayers of Sohail, who was father of two, was offered in rural area of Mardan. The prayer was attended by a large number of residents and local elders.

Meanwhile funeral of Lahore’s Maroof Ashraf and Zafar Iqbal were offered in Kot Lakhpat.

Funeral of 6 of a family was offered in Rawalpindi. The deceased included Muhammad Shahzad, his wife and four children.

It merits mention that at least 23 people have lost their lives while being trapped in their vehicles after snowstorm in Murree and other northern areas of the country.

The soldiers of Pakistan Army also assisted the civil administration participated in relief activities to rescue the stranded tourists.
