LAHORE: Punjab government has clamped a lock down in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan and Faisalabad to rein in rising cases of corona virus.
A notification in this regard has been issued. The notification said , the lockdown imposed from Tuesday, August 3 will continue till August 31.
Following the review of deteriorating situation of COVID-19 across the country the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has taken decision to re-clamp restrictions in the country.
According to the Punjab government’s notification, market/business activities will be allowed to operate till 08:00 pm.
Pharmacies/Medical stores, medical facilities and vaccination centers, petrol pumps, tandoors, bakeries, milk/dairy shops, food (24 hours a day). Takeaways and e-commerce/Courier/Postal services and utility services (Electricity, Natural Gas, Internet, Cellular Networks/Telecom, Call Centers, Media). Auto workshops, Oil Depots and all Kinds of Mandis including grain, fruit, cattle and vegetable mandis however has been granted exemption from the restrictions. .
All business and commercial activities will remain closed on Saturdays and Sundays. These days will be closed days.

Ban has been imposed on indoor weddings from . August 8, 2021 while outdoor weddings have been allowed with maximum 400 guests. Outdoor weddings will be allowed till 10:00pm.
Complete closure of shrines in the cities has also been ordered. Cinemas will also remain closed. .
