PML-Q boycotts federal cabinet meeting

ISLAMABAD: PTI government received a serious blow before presenting 3rd budget of their tenure in National Assembly when its allied party PML-Q got estranged with government.

Sources said Federal cabinet met under Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan before presenting the budget fro the financial year 2021-22 in National Assembly (NA) The key ally of the government PML-Q boycotted the meeting. The absence of Tariq Bashir Cheema from the meeting worried the PM and federal ministers.

The PM inquired from the federal ministers where is federal minister Tariq Bashir Cheema. However the ministers gave no reply in this regard.

The PM directed PTI senior leaders to contact Tariq Bashir Cheema, Chaudhry Shujaat and Pervez Elahi and inform him their reservations with reference to their absence from federal cabinet meeting.
