LHC reserves judgment on maintainability of petition filed against imposition of ban on Rs 7500 prize bonds

Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) has reserved judgment on the maintainability of the petition filed against the imposition of ban by the government on transaction and auction of prize bonds of denomination of Rs 7500.

Justice Jawad Hassan of LHC took up for hearing the petition filed by two persons including Haji Asif Wednesday whereby they had challenged the ban on Rs 7500 prize bonds.

The counsel for the petitioner told the court the draw of Rs 7500 prize bonds was to be held on May 02, 2021 but government has imposed ban on it.

He prayed the court to nullify the ban orders on sale and purchase of Rs 7500 prize bonds.
