PM reiterates his resolve to make Pakistan polio free during his telephonic contact with Bill Gates

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan during telephonic contact with Bill Gates has discussed at length prevailing corona virus epidemic situation, campaign against polio and impact of climate change.

PM during the telephonic conversation Wednesday reiterated his resolve to make Pakistan polio free country.

As per media reports , PM Imran Khan lauded the work of Bill Gates foundation for combating corona virus epidemic, elimination of polio and poverty alleviation. \
PM also informed Bill Gates about key projects of Pakistan for protection of environment.

Appreciating Pakistan commitment to address climate change Bill Gates said the world should unite to counter this global challenge. The world food system is facing threat due to climate change. The world leaders should prefer to make investment in agriculture research for adaptation.

PM Imran Khan and Bill Gates reiterated their determination to wage joint struggle for urgently stopping the spread of COVID-19, polio and other vaccine-preventable diseases in Pakistan.

PM Imran Khan said elimination of polio from Pakistan is his priority. Effective campaign is underway against polio despite the third wave of corona virus and challenges. Bill Gates Foundation cooperation in Ehsas Program helps the poor segments of society.

PM Imran Khan and Bill Gates agreed on continuing cooperation on shared objectives.
