Pakistan reports 313 coronavirus cases, 9 deaths in 24 hours

LAHORE (National Times) – Pakistan has reported 9 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of confirmed positive cases has surged to 1,288, 366. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 28,812 on Thursday.

According to the latest figures issued by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 313 persons were tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Province-wise Details

Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

477,466 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 443,747 in Punjab, 180,564 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 108,042 in Islamabad, 34,600 in Azad Kashmir, 33,522 in Balochistan and 10,425 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Tests and Recoveries

Pakistan has so far conducted 22,428,325 coronavirus tests and 42,978 in the last 24 hours. 1,250,069 patients have recovered in the country whereas 758 patients are in critical condition.

Positivity Ratio

The COVID-19 positivity ratio was recorded at 0.72 percent.

Vaccine Statistics

So far, 83,180,958 people have received their first dose of coronavirus vaccine including 487,317 in last 24 hours. 54,556,748 citizens have been fully vaccinated while 775,647 received their second dose in last 24 hours.

The number of total administered doses has reached to 130,107,583 with 1,227,596 in the last 24 hours.
