PSX gains 790 points to close at 46,974 points

ISLAMABAD(National Times):The KSE 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed bullish trend on Monday, gaining 790.07 points, with a positive change of 1.71 percent, closing at 46,974.78 points against 46,184.71 points on the last working day.
A total of 430,080,841 shares were traded during the day valuing 14.7779 billion.
As many as 372 companies transacted shares in the stock market, 271 of them recorded gain and 87 sustained losses whereas the share price of 14 companies remained unchanged.
The three top traded companies were WorldCall Telecom with a volume of 53,862,000 shares and price per share of Rs2.46, Byco Petroleum with a volume of 24,506,500 and price per share of Rs7.47 and Hum Network with volume of 23,207,000 and price per share of Rs7.11.
Allawasaya Tex-XD witnessed maximum increase of Rs129.57 per share, closing at Rs2299.99 whereas Nestle Pakistan was runner up, share prices of which increased by Rs100, closing at Rs5900.
Sapphire Tex-XD recorded a maximum decrease of Rs91.30 per share, closing at Rs1128.70 followed by Sapphire Tex-XD, the share prices of which decreased by Rs65.45 per share, closing at Rs830.
