Anti-Islam forces hatching conspiracies to create unrest in Pakistan: Sheikh Rasheed

ISLAMABAD(National Times):Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad Thursday said anti-Islam forces were hatching conspiracies against Pakistan as it was a nuclear power and a strong fort of Islamic world.
Talking to a private television channel, he said anti-Pakistan forces were trying to create unrest and wanted to impose sanctions.
Commenting on Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP)’s stubborn attitude, he said the TLP supporters should go back and avoid taking law into their hands. “We will hold discussion on Friday and Saturday to listen all the genuine demands of the TLP leader,” he added.
Sheikh Rasheed said all possible measures would be taken to ensure writ of the government.
The TLP, he said had blocked the roads and involved in killing and injuring the policemen. Islam did not teach violence, he said.
The government, he said wanted to resolve the issues with TLP through dialogue. Blocking roads, and halting business activity was not in favor of anyone, he said.
he said the common man would suffer if TLP supporters continued blocking the roads particularly the GT Road.
He said everyone should show responsibility for peace and stability in the country.
Replying to a question about TLP demands, he said a resolution had been presented before the assembly.
To another question about French ambassador, he said the ambassador had gone back to his country.
He said the government would take all possible steps to ensure peace and tranquility in the country.
To a question about calling Rangers in Punjab, he said the Rangers were responsible to protect lives and property of the citizen.
He made a special request to TLP supporters to return to their places for avoiding any action that may be taken by law enforcement agencies in case of violence.
“We have accepted all genuine demands of TLP but the supporters of defunct organization are still insisting to enter into the capital,” he said adding, “We will stop the march towards Islamabad at all costs.”
