ISLAMABAD(National Times): Commerce Minister Abdul Razak Dawood has said Pakistan is focusing on regional trade.
“ Relations with Taliban are normal. There are no reports of any suspension of trade at Afghan borders”, he said this while talking to a foreign news agency.
He said trade with Afghanistan is going on in dollar and rupee. Non formal trade is continuing with Afghanistan since the last 30 years.
We are working on building relations with Middle East and Central Asian states., he said adding we want to attract investment from UAE in housing, construction and real estate sectors. Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan is reviewing himself progress in investment.
We are working on establishing high quality business centre on the place adjacent to old airport at Lahore, he stated.
Price hike is the biggest problems in Pakistan, he underscored. The inflation has come to the country with imported goods due to hike in the prices of grains at international level, he added.
The value of rupee is falling since May, he indicated. More devaluation will give rise to problems. Rupee will become stable now, he hoped.
